Experience: Teaching keyboard in church for 5 years.
I teach according to the learning pace of the students and tailor my lessons according to what they’re interested in. For example, if they’re new to the instrument, I’d start by teaching them a simple piece that they want to learn before slowly incorporating technicalities.

Her approach is one that applies kindness, patience and an understanding that a piano student's life does not naturally always have to revolve around music in as much as it is capable of drawing a person in that direction. Gentleness is always necessary where music brings a musician to some unintended place which may bring forth some unspoken memory or experience requiring an emotional release but these are rare occurrences and are to be handled with care.
Routine lessons require the development of proper technique and a right understanding of the way different components of music have to function to create music that is sound and satisfying as a whole. Besides this, a certain degree of spontaneity in music lessons make learning enjoyable.
