Hi I’m Rebecca, I started music teaching in 2008. My students from different ages and skill levels from variety of musical styles, including jazz, blues, classical and coaching students towards taking examinations and performing live on stage.
In my music teaching career, most of my students started their music journey from beginner with me and completed their ABRSM Grade 8.
I believe having a great passion for music will keep my motivation of hardworking in piano teaching. My passion in piano teaching is that not just let students learn the music notes and rhythm but also cultivate student’s appreciation in music art. I preferred an effective variety of specialist teaching techniques to make lessons fun and enjoyable.;-)
I will cater the teaching materials (variety of piano books & theory books) for my students. I understand each pupils have different progress and preference.

I began my journey in music as an adult beginner and obtained ABRSM Grade 8 with distinction in just one and a half years of committed learning and practice
Having had this experience, I have specialized myself into intelligently and effectively teaching youths and adult beginners to be able to progress at an accelerated pace
In my teaching, i take emphasis in simplifying musical concepts and breaking down the complexities of piano technique into bite size bits, which serve as enablers to facilitate the creation of a positive learning cycle through the students development of competencies and confidence
With the employment of an effective practice routine that i have developed over the years, many of my beginner students have been able to start playing the pieces they like after just a few lessons
Teaching music through pieces that my students are enthusiastic about is quintessential to my approach as I have found this to be an effective way to maintain their interest that has often been spoiled by rigid and strict methodologies
Through this, the lessons remain student-centric and always has a higher chance of being a good and lasting match

I teach students to make myself redundant. My hope is that each student graduates equipped with a solid foundation, a lasting ardour in music and the right values to create a positive difference thereafter.
Having been educated in music since age 5, music is very much a part of my life. I teach Piano because i enjoy the craft, and enjoy sharing this lifelong skill with those around me. I have taught students with zero background in music, and explained various musical concepts in easy to understand ways.

Damien has been tutoring students from age 5 all the way to age 17, tutoring international students both piano, composing and theory in Shanghai for almost 3 years and now teaching in Singapore!
I can engage students that are of a younger age to really love piano! I am confident that I can help those that need piano lessons achieve what they do very want.
After experiencing boring, tedious methods learning piano as a child, He has decided to use entertaining, yet by the book methods that students actually like ! This engages his students to view piano as a hobby much rather a chore; he believes that students should first consolidate a solid basis and start to love piano first.
Damien has been awarded a Wiss International Baccalaureate Diploma in Music Practical and composing (2019), accompanied by ABRSM practical and theory certificates in (2016).

I currently study in NP, a year 3 student. I am outrovert and passionate in teaching piano. I have several performance experience which I enjoy a lot and indeed encourages me to continue study DipABRSM now.
I also have 2 years teaching experience in teaching students from ages 2.5 - 35. Currently, I’m still teaching under CRISTOFORI Music School and preparing my students for ABRSM exam + piano performance.
I begin learning piano in Shanghai then continue Grade 5 Piano (till now) in Singapore. Hence, I am able to speak both Mandarin and English fluently.
Due to the unique experience I have, I believe I can understand and communicate with the students well.
I understand that students nowadays are more interested in learning pop songs and I do teach students pop songs to encourage their learning while learning the more technical songs during lesson.
On the other hand, if students has their own preferences of the genre of music they want to learn, I am able to fulfill their needs too.
May has aspirations to further develop in the Music scene, and has started teaching since Graduation from her JC. She first started freelance tutoring back at her Alma mater, and is now still pursuing her passion over various platforms (i.e. in concerts, for gigs etc). She has had experiences teaching children age 9 and up, and has deciphered different fun and engaging teaching methodologies to fit them -lesson formula shall be kept secret!
She is aware of how much assignments students have up to date, and is also kept on track of their current respective exam & holiday periods. Therefore, lesson plans will be discussed in advance, so that no additional pressure might be taken upon on your child, even whilst they are pursuing music as their passion.

Laurence has been teaching since 2001 during his teen. Students are no less than hundred in all these years.
Some distinguish graduated students has pursue music career, some even become lecturer in overseas and local institute.
Laurence is also an active performer. Other than just the usual performance with students every half a year locally. He is also actively performing as the pianist with The Philharmonic Winds since 2010. He was also the bass trombonist in Hong Kong Young Musicians' Wind Orchestra, NAFA Orchestra, NAFA Symphonic Winds.
Currently, Laurence focuses on his teaching. He formed this Brand 2pianoteachers together with his wife and remarkable piano teacher, Midorie Tjiawi. 2pianoteachers dedicates to provide all rounded music lesson for students who are passionate about music and rebuild the interest of those who once lose their musical interest.
Besides teaching, Laurence dedicates his time serving in Church Choir as assistant conductor, pianist and chorister.

Her approach is one that applies kindness, patience and an understanding that a piano student's life does not naturally always have to revolve around music in as much as it is capable of drawing a person in that direction. Gentleness is always necessary where music brings a musician to some unintended place which may bring forth some unspoken memory or experience requiring an emotional release but these are rare occurrences and are to be handled with care.
Routine lessons require the development of proper technique and a right understanding of the way different components of music have to function to create music that is sound and satisfying as a whole. Besides this, a certain degree of spontaneity in music lessons make learning enjoyable.
Ms. Angelyn is a MOE registered instructor and is currently instructing and conducting guitar ensembles in various MOE schools. She has 8 years of music teaching experience, interacting with beginners from as young as 7.
She sent students for graded examination in which they have achieved a 100% pass rate, and minimum Merit award
Besides, she served as the President and section leader in guitar ensembles during her school days in which she led practices for a team of 60-90 people, and organised concerts.
Ms. Angelyn was also the main organising in-charge for the guitar ensemble festival since 2011. She is passionate about helping each student discover his/her strengths and develop his/her potential in life. She customises her teaching style according to each student, to motivate them according to the individual's learning style and interests.
With patience and understanding, she is able to relate to the difficulties students may come across while learning instrument and will do her utmost best to guide every individual.
Ms. Vanessa have taught for about 4 years in a music school and has experience preparing students for both ABRSM and LCM exams.
As she graduated with a Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education, she has the experience and confidence in teaching young children. For young learners, She incorporates music and movement activities, rhythmic games as well as singing into the lessons to instill a love for music and reinforce concepts taught.
She has experience teaching older students of primary school age, secondary school age and even adult students. For older learners, more emphasis is placed on technique and mastery of basic foundation skills to ensure that they will have the necessary knowledge and tools required to learn (and sight read) pieces well instead of just playing by memory.
For students who are not interested in taking exams or who would like a more relaxed approach, she gives them some control over their lessons by letting them suggest fun pieces which they would like to learn (e.g. Disney songs, anime songs, pop songs).
Ms. Crystal studies piano since an early age and hence has been involved in the music area for more than 16 years.
Her approach to teaching piano has all along been focusing on the experience as this has not just increased her passion for music, but also reflected well in her exam grades.
For her, it is important to create an environment where the student feels an interest and passion for learning piano. Such a foundation will drive the students to pursue and practice piano in his/her own free time.
That is the key to learning piano. Building a strong foundation and ear to music will allow the student to score well during exams as well (based on her own experience).
